Film Evaluation
This scene is typical of a TV soap because it uses the normal conventions for a soap, such as mid-angle shots and continuaty between shots. The camera angles used in the scene are mostly mid-shots. The recreation was quite accurate although we didn't manage to use all the camera shots from the original scene. The sucsesses of the project were that we had practise at using the cameras and with using different shots and angles, and using continuaty between the shots. We Also had practise at editing a project together. We also learnt about the importance of continuaty between shots and had practise at using this technique. The lighting used in the scene wasn't very effective although we were limited as to the types of lighting we could use. I think i still need to work on the use of camera angles but my editing skills have improved. I now feel more confident using different camera shots and editing them together.
